CPIU

CPIU returns the Consumer Price Index for All Urban Consumers (CPI-U), as published monthly on the internet, and can be downloaded from the BLS web site via the “Special Menu”.

Year: a 4 digit number. Or instead of entering a year, you can enter a date as “m/d/y”, and if you omit the Month parameter, then Year = “y”, Month = “m”, and “d” is ignored.

Month as a number or a 3-letter abbreviation; or “annual”, “half1”, “half2”:
